goodbye "BB"

you see that pacifier in her mouth? she called it her "BB."  she deeply loved her "BB!"  so we decided it was time to get rid of it since it was getting in her way.  i read some options online and we decided that the "BB" fairy was going to come and take her pacifiers to a new baby because she is a big girl now and trade her for a present!  so we talked about it for weeks, building it up, and finally did it. she and i decorated a box, she put her "BB's" in the box, and we put it outside the door.  as soon as i closed the door, she says, i want my "BB"!!  she managed to go to sleep without it and when she woke up, she opened the door and there was a present from the "BB" fairy!  she got a little stuffed doggie in a bag she can carry around and some candy and stickers.  she's mentioned missing it a few times, but for the most part she's been great about it!  whew!  crisis averted! 

happy 6 months my boy!

Liam turned 6 months old last week(i can't believe its been 6 months already!).  he is now an expert at rolling around and it surprises me how he can maneuver around the room.  he'll be crawling soon i bet! he had his first solid foods this past week, rice cereal and teething biscuits... and he loved it!! he was so ready to eat; he's really enjoying it!  speaking of eating, he does the cutest thing when he drinks from his bottle, he spins it around in his mouth. i love the random little things people do to make them unique!  like when matti swings her hips when she walks, the best word to describe it is "sashaying!"  anyway, liam is such a happy kid, this teething thing has really thrown him off; he's a little bit of a monster, today especially.  but when he smiles at you, all frowns are erased! i sure love him!

End of summer already???

Sadly, summer is coming to an end. i wish i could say its been a super fun summer, but not so much this year.  tom has been busy with classes and internship hours.  (a moment to brag: tom has gotten straight A's since starting his master's program- i'm so proud of him!!)  we did do some fun things though, we went to the zoo, swimming, lots of parks, a wedding and just spent as much time as possible together.  so now its back to a busy life!  yay
