"Moooooooooooommmm... seriously?!!"

so matti started saying, "moooooooooooooooooom" in a sing-songy voice of exasperation.  i was really hoping this phase would wait until she was a teenager, but no luck!  then she said all of a sudden one day, "mooooooooooom, seriously?!!!" and then proceeded to use the phrase allllll day long!  if it weren't so cute hearing a little 2 year old girl say it, it would be super annoying!  on a happier note, liam turned 7 months and got his first tooth!  he is so close to crawling, he rocks and scoots his way all over the room.  since getting his tooth, he has slept better through the night--woohoo!  he sits up on his own, though he prefers to roll around; he loves to eat, he tries to eat everything! if he's not eating the same time as everyone else, he throws a fit!

liam's side of the room is superman themed.  my aunt made a really cute quilt for him, tom painted that picture, and recently tom's mom did the cute paper "mobile" for him.  its adorable!  he's lucky to have so many talented people related to him!

a "Seussical" morning of fun

matti and kiffyn are signed up for a class at the rec center, a gym class.  the first one was this week and it was Dr. Seuss themed.  they made cupcakes that looked like the trees from "the Lorax", fished, pin the heart on the grinch, decorated balloons, and jumped in the bouncy house thingy.  they had a blast! its fun watching them interact with other kids, they can be so sweet sometimes, and then so assertive also!

An Aspen weekend

we spent labor day weekend with  my family in Aspen, Colorado. it was so beautiful! my brother kolton and my brother-in-law matt were playing in a volleyball tournament.  they didn't win, but they did great for a first time playing together in a tournament!  gotta love colorado weather... one minute it was raining, the next it was sunny and warm.  we had a great time, the kids were good, and it was nice to just get away for a few days!
