new family pictures

we got together with my cousin lindsay between sessions of general conference and took a few family pictures.  liam had a cold and wasn't really in the mood for smiling, but i think we got some cute pictures!  thanks linds for always doing a great job!

sing it baby!

we have this plastic microphone that matti likes to play with and she sings songs to liam.  he got ahold of it the other day and i saw him "singing" into it.  it was cute because he would sing really loud, then get soft, then he varied his voice like he was mimicking singing.  by the way, he has two teeth now!

jumpin' for joy

this is the conversation we had the other day in the car:

matti: daddy can you roll down the window?  i need to put this boogar outside

tom: sure

matti: can you roll up my window now? its all gone.

(a few minutes later)

matti:  bugs eat boogars, mommy

me: ummm, yeah... i bet flies eat boogars; they're yucky

matti: yeah flies are yucky; they eat boogars

yeah... i don't know where the idea came from, but i found it pretty funny!  i love that she is starting to use her imagination.  she tells me stories sometimes like, mommy the dragon's gonna get me and teddy but then then the daddy bear didn't let him (the daddy bear saves the day a lot.... she's kind of a daddy's girl!).  she's also gotten very good at reading liam's mind- he doesn't want his pacifier mom; liam wants this toy not the one i want; awww, liam loves you mommy!  i love my little girl!
