Matti has been interested in taking pictures lately and these are a few of her better ones.  remember the days before digital cameras with real film and the guessing game of what the pictures are gonna look like?  luckily with digital cameras she can play all she wants and it doesn't cost me a thing!  so i turned 36 a few days ago and had an awesome birthday!  matti picked out these vibrant hot pink daisies for me!  she was so cute because she was so proud of herself!  tom took us to macaroni grill for dinner (so yummy!) and got me an iphone-woohoo! then my family had a super delicious dinner on sunday, today, and awesome yummy desserts. the best part though, was tom got me a hotel room in park city all  by myself!  i got up there in the afternoon, ate dinner, worked out, went for a walk, wandered around walmart by myself, gave myself a mani/pedi, sat in the hot tub, ate a lot of carmel popcorn, and watched several chick flick movies that i've been wanting to see for awhile.  it was so weird being by myself, but it was very relaxing!  then brooke and matt watched the kids while tom came up the next day and spent the night with me. a whole 48 hours with no kids-happy birthday to me!

we did the "trunk or treat" at our ward building, then went to my parent's house for some more trick or treating.  their neighborhood is so much fun for halloween!  people go all out, yards decorated as cemetaries, flying witches, music and lights, a fire pit and hot chocolate; its so much fun!  apparently a little too much fun for liam because he woke up several times that night, too overstimulated.  but doesn't he look fabulous with long flowing locks?!!

they had soooooooo much fun taking off the toilet paper, throwing it up into the air... even several days later, they requested doing it again

then we made sugar cookies and frosted them. matti's frosting started out on the cookie, but slowly made its way into her mouth (and all over her face) one finger lick at a time... she said she was making the cookies for daddy... enjoy that, babe!

Liam turns 8 months

 Liam fell asleep like this and i had to get a picture!  if you can't tell, he is bent over at the waist, like he was sitting up, got so tired and flopped over, asleep.

i turned around a few weeks ago and he had pulled himself up to the couch!  now he's pulling himself up on everything!  he would really love to start walking soon! and i love that his little tongue is sticking out!

 he started crawling a few weeks ago and is cruising now! i have to be really careful where i walk because i'll go into the next room and a few seconds later he's there behind me.  he's my little shadow.  at his last doctor appointment, he was in the 50th percentile for height and weight, but with the way he's been eating lately, he's probly not anymore!
