A day at the zoo... for free!

Hogle Zoo offered free admission once a month during the winter months; yeah, it was freezing out, it was the end of March after all, but getting in free was like a cup of hot cocoa warming my soul! So we went with my cousin Lindsay, and her two kids, bundled up good and braved the weather.

Since it was freezing most primates were inside.  These gorillas were so much fun to watch, and boy did they stare back!  It was a little intimidating, I gotta admit!

My friend had just had a baby so I brought her son, Landon, with us.  He and Liam pretty much sat in the stroller the whole time, but they loved seeing all the animals!

They had a new attraction for the polar bears and seals with huge windows for the kids to see underwater- so fun! Especially the blind seal who swam in circles!

The giraffes are my favorite; I love their long tongues and beautiful eyelashes! And they are housed inside so we took the opportunity to eat snacks and go potty.

We had a fun day, very few meltdowns, surprisingly, and no one got lost!
