The easter bunny hid eggs all around the yard for the kids, easy-to-find ones in the grass for the littler kids and some in the trees, branches, and bushes for the older kids. Then the easter bunny his eggs inside the house for us "oldest kids" to find! Its a fun tradition we can all get into! The eggs were pretty well hid, evidenced by the fact we have found a few eggs several weeks later!
Liam didn't quite get it at first, until he realized it was CANDY he was picking up! That was a game-changer...also...our boy sure can rock the bow tie!!
I don't know if you can tell, but his cheeks were stuffed with chocolate eggs! Such a handsome little buggar!
BYU had a free Easter egg hunt... I should've guessed it would be a nightmare... those Mormons go crazy over free stuff! Liam fell asleep so I was in the car with him, but I kept seeing people go by (whole families by the way) with big bags of candy, so I thought it was going well. Tom called it the Mormon Easter version of the Hunger Games... so you can imagine how well it really went! Matti and Kiffyn were terrified... most of the people there were running and pushing to get to the candy like a feeding frenzy. People had bags full of candy and the smaller children were getting run over and had nothing. Luckily there were a few generous children who shared a piece or two of candy, but that was it! It was a nightmare....and we will never do that again!
